Ceramic Paint Coating vs. Dealership Paint Coating

Ceramic paint coating services are provided by Classy Chassis in Ashland, Ohio.

If you've recently bought a new car from a dealership, you've probably been offered a paint protection program. Yet, you might be wondering what other options are out there, and if those services are really as great as your salesman is making them out to be. Ceramic coating is an alternative option, and the process involved is much more intricate than the service you'll get elsewhere. This isn't to say that local dealers are necessarily bad, but you'll get more for your money when you bring your vehicle to a professional ceramic coater.

Oftentimes, professional coaters are very knowledgeable and have enough experience to know that rushing the process is not going to result in a quality coating. They'll make sure your vehicle has a clean surface before application, and they'll allow the coating to cure properly.

The difference isn't just in the careful attention to detail that technicians at dealerships can sometimes lack; Ceramic coating is designed to protect your vehicle against water and sun damage, as well as other pollutants and contaminants that often cause chemical degradation on your vehicle's surface. Now, wax and synthetic sealants are still better than nothing. Don't leave your car defenseless. But, they don't have the same weather protection. Wax, for example, usually just sits on the surface and does not make that strong chemical bond like ceramic coating.

Sure, it can make your car look beautiful and shiny, but it's probably the least durable option. And, when you choose ceramic coating for your paint protection, you're not sacrificing that finish. In our opinion, your vehicle will achieve maximum gloss with ceramic materials. And you'll achieve that shine without sacrificing durability since the coating can last 3-4 years.

If less maintenance, more shine, and more protection interest you, it might be time to make the call to Classy Chassis in Ashland, Ohio for your vehicle's needs. Right now, when you purchase a ceramic paint coating, you'll receive free rustproofing (a $499 value!!). Give us a call at (419) 281-6680 today!

Leveling Kit vs Lift Kit

Lift kits and leveling kits are two of the most popular aftermarket add-ons, from Jeeps to SUVs, to pick up trucks. Both kits offer improved off-road performance while giving your vehicle a new look, but what is the difference between the two? If you own a mid to large-sized vehicle, you’ve probably noticed the rear end can sit a little higher than the front end. Because they are made to carry heavier loads, the back end has additional height to avoid sagging once it’s loaded. There’s no harm in the difference, but it isn’t the most visually appealing when there is no load to even it out. A leveling kit matches the front end to the back end height. Leveling kits are also added a majority of the time when a winch is added to compensate for the additional front end weight. While leveling kits are mostly just for looks, it can also give you some additional ground clearance. Leveling kits are often composed of spacers, strut extensions, shocks, and lift blocks.
