So Many Truck Accessories!

Trucks are ready to be customized like your girlfriend's favorite outfit. So many choices for accessories are available and makes the truck reflect your personality! Let's check out some of the things you can choose! BULL BARS Should a front bumper not be enough to really protect your truck, then consider a bull bar, which is a large bumper that comes up in front of your truck to protect more of the front-end. These are usually in an upside down “U” shape so that they do not block off your grille or airflow into your engine. Even the most careful driver can end up in some tough situations off-road, and bull bars can protect the front of your truck when that happens. HOOD AND GRILLE PROTECTORS While you’re protecting the front of your truck, you should also consider “protectors” to help get that job done. Rather than bulky bumpers, these truck acc...

Lift Kits: Making an Informed Decision

Since we were kids, we have admired monster trucks. Their giant wheels and (literally) larger-than-life presence was awe-inspiring. Now that we are adults, having a truck that looks more like those trucks is kind of a fun idea. When considering a lift kit for your truck, let's talk about some of the advantages and disadvantages. First, however, you need to know there are two types of lift kits. For people who like to go “off road,” lift kits will give your tires more clearance while still r...

Leveling Kit vs Lift Kit

Lift kits and leveling kits are two of the most popular aftermarket add-ons, from Jeeps to SUVs, to pick up trucks. Both kits offer improved off-road performance while giving your vehicle a new look, but what is the difference between the two? If you own a mid to large-sized vehicle, you’ve probably noticed the rear end can sit a little higher than the front end. Because they are made to carry heavier loads, the back end has additional height to avoid sagging once it’s loaded. There’s no harm in the difference, but it isn’t the most visually appealing when there is no load to even it out. A leveling kit matches the front end to the back end height. Leveling kits are also added a majority of the time when a winch is added to compensate for the additional front end weight. While leveling kits are mostly just for looks, it can also give you some additional ground clearance. Leveling kits are often composed of spacers, strut extensions, shocks, and lift blocks.
